"Master the SAT Prep" Class is a two-day course designed to teach students the techniques of preparation so they can become successful in taking the SAT and PSAT/NMSQT tests. They will be equipped with necessary strategies and tips to help increase their test scores.

The class also dispels common myths and misconceptions about the SAT that can actually hinder a student's score such as:

  • How to get a perfect 2400 without answering all the questions?
  • Why knowing 3000 vocabulary words isn't the key to doing well?
  • Why guessing on questions is overrated?
  • What makes a question hard - Is it Trigonometry?
  • What else is the college looking for besides a good SAT score?
  • Who really grades the SAT essay and what are they looking for?
  • Why lots of smart kids do poorly on the SAT

This course teaches unique strategies that are invaluable to the serious student. It teaches students to look for the hidden and recurring patterns that are found on the SAT and PSAT/NMSQT by using simple techniques, clever ACRONYMS, wrong answers and logical strategies to match answers to the problems.

Students should start preparing for the PSAT/NMSQT and the SAT in the ninth grade.
